Greater Augusta ArtsCity Festival / Sept. 17-19, 2021 (Augusta, Richmond County)

ArtsCity Festival is a mini version of the popular Arts in the Heart Festival and will be held on September 17, 18, 19, 2021 in Augusta, GA.

ArtsCity Festival will still offer great music on two stages, over 80 juried fine artists booths and ten international food booths with authentic cuisine by our local cultural groups. Booths will line the center of Broad Street, in the heart of the city, and be spaced to integrate social distancing.

Social distancing awareness and masks are recommended for the festival. A Southern Beer Garden with both beer and wine, live painting by “Artzilla” artists, and a Westobou Sponsored Ferris Wheel are just a few of the 2021 festival experiences visitors can enjoy.

The Global Stage on the Augusta Common includes cultural music and dance along with a great lineup including international star Wycliffe Gordon, Leah Savant with Major Sound, and Broadway Star Russell Joel Brown. The Jazz Stage will offer Jazz, Blues and Roots performances by incredible performers including Niki Haris, Calandra Gantt, and Bodega Cat with Will McCranie. The Global Food Village on the Augusta Common will feature food from Ireland, Greece, Italy, India, China, Laos, Philippines, Jamaica, Latin America, and Thailand. For patrons who don’t want to wait in the food lines in the global village, the festival will also have delicious take-out specials from numerous downtown restaurant partners, including Laziza, Solé and Pasches Island Soul. Plenty of outdoor tables will be provided to encourage safe dining.

The Fine Artists Markets will run the length of Broad Street from 10th to 7th Street and include a diverse range of juried visual arts from local, regional and national artists. Everything from paintings, sculptures, pottery, fabric art, jewelry, photography, woodwork and more can be found.

Advance Tickets are only $10 online and good for the entire weekend. Tickets can be exchanged for physical badges at the ticket gates. Badges are $15 at the gate, starting Friday, September 17th. Kids 10 and under are free. The Festival is open Friday: 5pm – 9pm; Saturday: 11am – 9pm; Sunday: 12noon – 7pm. Festival policy is no pets, no guns, no coolers. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and face masks are recommended. ArtsCity Festival follows CDC Guidelines. For more information on the festival visit www.artscityfestival.com.

Arts in the Heart of Augusta was recognized this month as one of the top 200 festivals in the United States. Plans are to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Festival in September 2022.
