Request for Proposals: Marketing Contractor, 4/22/2024

Tryon Arts & Crafts School (TACS) is seeking proposals from qualified marketing and graphic design firms or freelancers to outsource essential marketing functions. We are looking for dynamic and experienced professionals to collaborate with us in effectively promoting our diverse programs and enhancing our brand presence. Marketing tasks may be conducted remotely. Proposals that include all services listed below are preferred. However, proposals that do not include all the listed services may still be considered.

Scope of Work:

1. Digital Asset Management:
Collaborate with onsite staff to efficiently access digital assets for marketing and graphic design materials, including photos, program content, logos, and fonts.

2. Print Advertising:
Meet weekly deadlines for design and submission of quarter-page ads for newspaper(s). Coordinate with TACS staff to decide on rotation of programs to promote.

3. Magazine Advertising:
Monthly regional magazine submissions, including (1) design of quarter-page ads and (2) TACS program listings. Write and submit press release materials for featured articles when applicable.

4. Fliers:
Routine design of program fliers and posters for print and digital dissemination. This includes specialty workshops, weekly classes, gallery exhibits and receptions, fundraisers, and community-wide events.

5. Email Marketing:
Utilize TACS’ email marketing software to draft and send targeted email campaigns promoting upcoming events, courses, and exhibitions regularly. Use recent email authentication best practices to ensure increased engagement.

6. Social Media:
Co-manage TACS’ social media accounts, ensuring a balanced posting schedule. Content should include class promotions, workshop highlights, classroom action shots, exhibition updates, and features on shop artists.

7. Web Content:
Co-manage TACS’ web site, assisting with WordPress page construction (with Divi Builder) for events, updates to existing pages and products, and home page button design.

8. Consultation:
Provide industry-savvy advice for new marketing strategies, audiences, and syndicates, including concise cost-effectiveness analysis and budget impact analysis.

Proposals should include:
• Overview of the proposed strategies for each marketing function.
• Relevant experience in similar projects.
• Proposed timeline and deliverables for each aspect of the scope of work.
• Budget breakdown.

Proposals will be evaluated based on:
• Demonstrated experience and success in similar marketing activities.
• Proposed strategies and methodologies.
• Streamlined approaches.
• Budget considerations.

Timeline:
• Proposal Submission Deadline for Priority Consideration: May 15, 2024
• Interviews and Selection: May 16 – May 31, 2024
• Contract Start Date: June 3, 2024, or Other Date as Determined by Both Parties
