Support HB 1330 The Georgia Music and Jobs Recovery Act

Support HB 1330 The Georgia Music and Jobs Recovery Act a bi-partisan bill currently in the State House.  The Goal of HB 1330 is to update the original Musical Investment Act to encourage growth of Georgia’s music industry, create and sustain jobs and increase awareness of Georgia as a leading state for music and theatrical productions.

If you live and work in separate districts, feel free to write to multiple legislators.   It is important for your House Representative to understand that you are the epitome of a small business.  The arts, music, and theatre are tremendous economic drivers for the communities in which we live and work and as such should be considered in policy and legislation.

The Georgia Music and Theatre Jobs Recovery Act, HB 1330 is a much needed critical bill that will help retain jobs and create new opportunities and investment in the theatrical arts and live music industry.  I have been a (job description and how long) and want to share with you that behind the scenes of every production and theatre group are literally hundreds of jobs and businesses that benefit.  

As our economy shifts more digitally and broadband becomes more accessible around the state, content creation will become more lucrative.  Entertainment IP in the form of songs, plays, musicals created in our state have the potential to become a commodity for generations but in order for this to happen, we must invest in this industry.Please support HB 1330 and help us get this bill passed this year.
